The Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Vermont hired Amanda Ibey as government affairs director. Ibey was executive director of the Vermont Energy Partnership.

Molly Dillon, president of Merchants Trust Co., announced that Robert Knowles joined the bank as a vice president and business development officer for southern Vermont. Knowles is president of Winfall Strategies, a firm specializing in leadership development, motivational speaking, and sales and relationship management training. He was senior vice president for Banknorth Investment Management Group.

Home Instead Senior Care hired Diane Gagnon as director of client services. She has background in business and nursing. John Hooley was named operations manager. He was with Care Connection at the VNA.

Mike Couture of Green Mountain Car Care Auto Spa, announced the company’s move to 2071 Williston Road in South Burlington. The company offers express and full-service detailing and is open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 802-660-9835.

William R. Milnes Jr., president and chief executive officer of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont, announced he will retire Nov. 30. He has been with the plan for 10 years and with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield system for almost 34. Guy Boyer, chairman of the board of directors, said the board has initiated a screening process to identify qualified individuals from within and outside the company.

The Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger announced the addition of two community organizers to its nutrition program team: Mitzi Johnson and Angela Smith-Dieng. Johnson, a state representative from South Hero, was named child care nutrition outreach and policy specialist. Smith-Dieng is food stamp outreach and policy specialist. She has more than seven years of community organizing experience.

Paul Craven, president of Paul Craven & Associates in Essex Junction, announced the addition of mediation and facilitation services to his project management business. Craven has more than 25 years’ experience in project management with private and public agencies.

Missa Aloisi joined the architectural firm of Freeman French Freeman. Aloisi is a 2007 graduate of the University of Oregon, where she earned her master’s degree in architecture. She studied landscape architecture in Kyoto, Japan.

Hampton Direct Inc. announced the addition of five employees. Lisa Sherman and Todd Connolly are sourcing coordinators, and Christiana Pepin and Amy Griffin are sourcing assistants. Sherman was with Vermont Teddy Bear Co. and Connolly was with Vertek Corp. Griffin was with a Malone, N.Y., company. Dawn DiCecco joined the sales team. She was with Resolution Inc. 

Stan Greenfield, president and owner of Triad Temporary Services Inc., announced that Elizabeth Hanzl-Kleine was named marketing director. Hanzl-Kleine has experience as a quality control/warehouse supervisor and in home health.

Keven Graber joined Citizens Bank as a member of the investment services group in Burlington. Graber is a financial consultant with more than eight years’ experience in the industry. He was with Ameriprise Financial.

Ross Environmental Associates Inc. of Stowe welcomed Jennifer Schwartz and Megan McConville to its team of environmental professionals. A project scientist, Schwartz will be responsible for completing environmental site assessments for real estate transactions, GIS data management for mapping projects, and project management. An environmental chemist, McConville will be responsible for field sampling, operation and maintenance of remediation systems, surveying, and collection of GPS data.

Central Vermont Medical Center announced that Brian Aros, M.D., and Emily Urquhart-Scott, M.D., have joined CVMC Medical Group practices on the CVMC campus. Aros is with Green Mountain Orthopaedic Surgery. He recently finished a sports medicine fellowship at The Ohio State University. Urquhart-Scott is with Associates in Pediatrics. She did her residency at the University of California-Davis Medical Center.

David Hehn was hired as a marketing analyst on the sales team at SecurShred. He has more than two years’ advertising, marketing, and sales experience.

Rick Milliken, general manager of the DoubleTree Hotel Burlington, has selected Eric Nielsen as food and beverage manager. Nielsen was a banquet manager at Basin Harbor Club.

Sarah Carpenter, executive director of the Vermont Housing Finance Agency, announced the hiring of Michelle Packard as financial analyst. Packard has been with the agency’s homeownership department on a temporary basis for two months. She was treasurer for Summit Financial Center.

The Rebecca Burns Padden joined Spike Advertising as an art director/designer. She was with PDI Creative.

Primmer Piper Eggleston & Cramer PC announced the addition of three trial attorneys. Leo A. Bisson Jr., Gregory S. Clayton, and Gregory M. Eaton joined the litigation team. They have a collective 70 years’ litigation experience. Bisson is in the firm’s Montpelier office; Clayton and Eaton are in the Littleton, N.H., office.

Roxanne Gentes joined the staff of Granite State Development Corp. She will assist David Blow, vice president, with loan applications, underwriting, and closings. She was with Liberty Quest Financial in Williston.

Joe Tymecki has joined Vermont Public Television as director of engineering. He is managing the change to digital for VPT’s master control and production facilities. Tymecki, who was recently certified as a Professional Broadcast Engineer by the Society of Broadcast Engineers, returns to VPT 12 years after leaving for engineering positions with Turner Broadcasting System and The Weather Channel in Atlanta. He was also chief engineer at WCAX-TV.

The Vermont office of the American Cancer Society announced the promotion of Kathy Johnson to community executive for health initiatives. Johnson has been with the organization since 2002. She founded the nationally recognized Relay for Life NordicStyle held annually in Stowe.

Davis & Hodgdon Associates CPAs has hired two associate accountants. Jennifer Cioffi was with a bank in St. Albans. Nicholas Baldwin has worked in higher education financial aid. Both are studying toward a master of business administration degree at Champlain College.

Neville Companies hired Brian Wells for its maintenance team. Wells has experience in all areas of construction and was running his own construction business. 

The Hilton Burlington announced that Amy Weathers was named general manager. Weathers was general manager of the 150-room Courtyard by Marriott Columbus West in Ohio. She will have overall responsibility for hotel sales, marketing, and operations at the 258-room hotel.

The Vermont Foodbank board of trustees announced that Douglas O’Brien, chief executive officer, has tendered his resignation for personal and family reasons. The board will begin a nationwide search to fill the position.

Gallagher, Flynn & Co. LLP announced the hiring of Liz Bushey as a senior accountant in the small business practice. Bushey was with the firm for two years before moving to West Virginia while her husband pursued his master’s degree. Sirisha Chundru joined the tax practice as a tax senior. She was with KPMG. Wanda Jenner joined the small business practice as a staff accountant. She was with Misasi & Misasi/Miller, Deverall & Co. in Middlebury.

Granite Hills Credit Union, Barre

Granite Hills Credit Union has moved to its new location at 328 N. Main St. in Barre. This site replaces the former office at 266 N. Main. The 4,800-square-foot facility features two drive-through lanes, a 24-hour ATM, Saturday drive-through hours, and a night depository.

Ledyard Financial Advisors, the wealth management division of Ledyard National Bank, announced that Holly K. Dustin joined the Hanover, N.H., office as vice president and financial adviser. Dustin was director of major and planned giving at Vermont Law School. Her experience includes work in gift planning for Vermont Public Radio and Norwich University.

Bill Young, executive director of Maple Leaf Farm, announced the appointment of Chris Wood as food service director. Wood returns to Maple Leaf and the position following several years running his own catering business and working for Ben & Jerry’s Homemade. Paul Frank + Collins law firm announced the addition of Evan P. Meenan to the property and development team and the environmental law team. He was a law clerk at the firm for nearly a year.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. announced the appointment of Michelle V. Stacy as president of Keurig Inc. Stacy has more than 20 years’ experience as a senior executive in marketing and global business management with The Gillette Co. and more recently as vice president and general manager of global professional oral care with Procter & Gamble.
